【Departs from Izumo】 Witness the Iwami Kagura ritual dance performance and explore Tsuwano, Yamaguchi on this three-day tradition and art tour


・View the impressive Iwami Yokagura (Kagura performance at night) up close at a Shinto shrine in the Yunotsu hot spring district. ・Experience hands-on kagura mask design, hand-crafting of traditional washi paper (the type used for kagura masks), and other activities related to the traditions and history behind kagura traditional dance performances. ・Don real Iwami Kagura ritual garb and talk with performers during the Iwami Kagura rehearsal viewing tour on day two. ・Explore the popular town of Tsuwano, Yamaguchi on foot during the third day. ★ Iwami Kagura is a type of Japanese kagura, or ritual Shinto dance performance, preserved as a traditional art in western Shimane Prefecture and northwestern Hiroshima Prefecture. Performances center around mythology involving Shinto gods, demons and others, and they incorporate theatrical song and dance elements. ★ [Baby/Child Tour Prices] Children ages 0–5 may participate in this tour. However, tour costs do not cover meals, lodging facility bedding and so forth for babies/children. Please request and pay for these services yourself onsite at locations/facilities visited during the tour [Items Included in Tour Price] Admission and activity fees for facilities/sites included in the tour plan, English-speaking interpreter–guide (from time of initial gathering on first day to end of tour on third day), lunch costs, two-night lodging costs (including two breakfasts and one dinner) [Notes and precautions] * Because this is not a group tour, no tour manager will accompany guests. However, an English-speaking interpreter–guide will accompany the tour. Your final tour schedule, which is required for the tour, will be sent prior to the scheduled departure date. Customers are responsible for reaching the tour starting point on their own. Costs for transport to and from the tour start/end point are not included in tour costs. ・Tour facilities/sites may be closed suddenly without prior notice in response to local conditions and needs.   • (9:00) Depart from hotel (tour-use vehicle provided) (9:15~11:15) Create own kagura ritual mask designs and tour the facilities at Kobayashi Koubou (Crafts Store of Kagura Mask) bento meal sets will be provided for lunch (12:00~14:30) Tour Sekishu Kachiji Banshi traditional washi papermaking facility and make own washi paper (15:00~16:00) Participate in the Iwami Kagura rehearsal viewing tour, which involves wearing traditional kagura garb and talking with troupe performers (Around 16:30) Arrive at a hotel in Hamada City ** The specific hotel will be listed on the final tour schedule. Dinner is not included on this day of the tour. Customers are asked to find a place to eat on their own. **
