Tour to Izumo Taisha Shrine "Kamiari Festival" enshrines Deity of Happiness, Good Fortune and Marriage


Izumo Taisha Shrine・・・A Sacred rope on one of the largest 'Kaguraden' (hall for Shinto music and dance) in Japan of 13.5 meters long and 4.5 tons weight is overwhelming. What is "Kamiari Festival" in Izumo Taisha Shrine?​ It is a ritual that welcomes 8 million gods nationwide every October by the lunar calendar. It is said that the possibility that prayers made during the festival will be answered is particularly high during this period. [Attention] *Izumo Grand Shrine: - There is no dress code. But please refrain from wearing shorts, sandals, Japanese straw sandals 'zori', tank tops, and other revealing clothing and footwear. - Filming and photography is strictly prohibited inside the shrine. However photography is permitted on the grounds. - We will hold a group prayer (not one by one) inside either Kaguraden or Karihaiden (or somewhere else). We will not visit the Main Shrine. *Due to the expected congestion during the festival period it might be that the parking lot will have no spaces for, so you may be required to get off the bus and walk to the shrine. You may also be required to wait a long time until the group prayer due to the congestion. *Depending on the road congestion situation on the tour day, you will visit Izumo Taisha Shrine first and there is a possibility that the time at Shimane Winery may be shortened or the visit there will be omitted, also the return time may delayed greatly. *Wearing clothes and shoes that let you move easily and comfortably is strongly recommended. *Depending on the road conditions on the day, the order of the itinerary may change. *This tour is operated with a mixture of Japanese and foreign guests. However a staff member will give you the basic information, such as meeting place and time at each stop in English or Chinese, although they won’t give you detailed information on the places visited. *We will not be responsible for any delays, shortenings or omissions made to the itinerary due to circumstances beyond our control (traffic, weather etc.) *A decision on whether to cancel the tour will be decided by 3pm Japan Standard Time one day before the tour date. We will inform you by e-mail. *The tour end point may be different from the meeting point. Ask the tour conductor on the day. *The amended Act on the Protection of Personal Information came into effect on 30 May 2017. Customer information (name, age, gender etc.) may be forwarded to the hotels or necessary entities for the purpose of making tour arrangements. This condition shall be deemed to have been accepted by the customer upon completion of the reservation.

Language Support

A tour conductor or staff of your preferred language will accompany the tour from the designated meeting place (at a designated airport in case of a tour with airplanes) and provides the participant with basic information necessary for the tour (such as meeting place and time at each stop etc) in your preferred language. Information on sightseeing in the areas of tour destinations will not be provided. However, brochures in your preferred language will be provided.
