Stay overnight at Hotel Tateyama, located at an altitude of 2,450m, hence referred to as 'the resort closest to the stars.' Stay in the Murodo area for approx. 20 hours! Attractions around the hotel: 1.On Day-1 after dinner, enjoy star gazing on the rooftop organized by Hotel Tateyama (if sky is clear and weather permits). 2.Special views With the hotel at 2,450m above sea level, you will be lucky to see impressive views of the starry sky and sunset in the clouds. *The views are weather dependent. On Day-2 early in the morning, join a Sunrise Tour. Travel 10 mins by trolleybus to Daikanbo (2,316m) to watch a sunrise from the observatory. *The tour may be cancelled due to bad weather or other circumstances. In such case no refund will be provided. 3.Enjoy a relaxing time until 12:00 on Day 2. If interested, you can join a tetraonidae birds watching tour with a nature guide (Japanese-speaking only). ※Available only in the period from 17 May to 1 July. 4.Travel through the full Alpine Route with no hustle. Also, enjoy bathing in natural hot spring communal baths at the hotel. [Attention] 【Regarding the Alpine Route】 *Using a backpack is recommended. You will change transportation several times and need to carry your luggage by yourself, so please pack lightly and avoid using roller bags. *Please wear comfortable (better slip-resistant waterproof) shoes such as trekking shoes for the walk around Murodo. *Sunglasses and sun screen are also recommended if the sun is shining. *In case of rain, its recommended to have a raincoat with hood. *Please wrap up warm, as outdoor activities will be particularly cold. The average temperature in Murodo in April is 0-3℃ at 9am and 3-4℃ at 3pm; in May 4-8℃ at 9am and 5-11℃ at 3pm (Information from official Alpine Route homepage.) Hats, gloves and other basic cold protection equipment (scarf, earmuffs, disposable heat packs are also useful). *Alpine Route Q&A *This tour's train schedule is decided by the present schedule as of the end of 2019. Therefore, due to the schedule revision of the railway company in the middle of March every year, the departure and arrival times for the outbound Shinkansen may be 5-10 mins different than stated on the itinerary. *If there are 3~4 guests booked for one room, an extra bed (or sofa bed) will be provided in the twin room. *Some guest rooms are not equipped with a bathtub. *When allocating train seats, due to seating arrangements, you may be separated even if you booked as a group. Even customers who booked for two may not be seated next to each other or sat on the same row. *Please wear comfortable warm clothing and walking shoes. *Depending on the road conditions on the day, the order of the itinerary may change. *This tour is operated with a mixture of Japanese and foreign guests. However a staff member will give you the basic information, such as meeting place and time at each stop in English or Chinese, although they won’t give you detailed information on the places visited. *Meeting time at the station is 20-30 minutes before the train departure time. Further details about the meeting time and place will be sent to you at least 7 days prior to the tour departure day. *We will not be responsible for any delays, shortenings or omissions made to the itinerary due to circumstances beyond our control (traffic, weather etc.) *A decision on whether to cancel the tour will be decided by 3pm Japan Standard Time one day before the tour date. We will inform you by e-mail. *The tour end point may be different from the meeting point. Ask the tour conductor on the day. *The amended Act on the Protection of Personal Information came into effect on 30 May 2017. Customer information (name, age, gender etc.) may be forwarded to the hotels or necessary entities for the purpose of making tour arrangements. A tour conductor or staff of your preferred language will accompany the tour from the designated meeting place (at a designated airport in case of a tour with airplanes) and provides the participant with basic information necessary for the tour (such as meeting place and time at each stop etc) in your preferred language. Information on sightseeing in the areas of tour destinations will not be provided. However, brochures in your preferred language will be provided.
