Chuson-ji Temple, Hiraizumi (Best viewing period: Late Oct~Early Nov): A buddhist temple located in Iwate prefecture, registered as a World Heritage Site. Entrance to the Konjikido Golden Hall costs JPY800. 4. Lake Towada (Best viewing period: Mid to late Oct): The largest caldera lake on the Japanese mainland. 5. Oirase Gorge (Best viewing period: Mid to late Oct): Take a walk along the ravine surrounded by autumn colors. 6. Mt.
