The northernmost tip of Honshu, Shimokita Peninsula's Cape Oma, is famous for its large tuna monument! 5. For departures in April, visit Cape Shiriya which is famous for its wild horses. For departures from May, visit Mt. Osore on the Shimokita Peninsula, one of Japan's Three Sacred Ground locations. 6. Enjoy local Aomori seafood. 7. Stroll around the special historic site of Sannai Maruyama, which features the remains of a large settlement from the Jomon Period around 4,000-5,500 years ago. 8. Language Support
