[ATTENTION] ・Hakone volcano eruption alert raised On Sunday May 19, the Japan Meteorological Agency raised the alert level for Mt. Hakone to a Level 2, warning of a possible eruption. As a result, the area around the Owakudani crater is off-limits to visitors including the Hakone Ropeway. If the alert is still in place when tours leave from June 25 onwards, we will take you to an alternative sightseeing attraction. We will only contact you in advance should there be a change in the itinerary. ・Hakone Ropeway is scheduled to be under routine maintenance and construction work from May 7th to early July. Although the details of the work has not yet been decided, if the ropeway service between Owakudani and Togendai is suspended on your tour day, the tour will take the ropeway from Sounzan to Owakudani instead. Any itinerary change will be announced by a staff member on the tour day and the fare difference will be refunded on the same day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [ATTENTION for departures June 25~August 12] We would like to inform you about a change in the itinerary regarding the current situation of the Hakone Ropeway. Due to the eruption threat of Mt Hakone, the area around the Owakudani crater is still off-limits to visitors including the Hakone Ropeway (as of 17 June, 2019.) Since we do not know when the area will re-open, we have no choice but to alter the itinerary as below: [Original itinerary]  Hakone Ropeway (Togendai station~Owakudani station) and stroll around Owakudani Valley. [Revised itinerary] Hakone Komagate Ropeway (Hakone-en Garden~Mt. Komagatake summit)*On a clear day, you can see Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji from the top of Mt. Komagatake Ropeway. Furthermore, if the Komagatake Ropeway is not operating on the tour day due to poor weather, we will refund you the Hakone Ropeway boarding fee. We apologize for the short notice and any inconvenience caused. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Visit one of Japan's most famous tourist destinations Hakone while enjoying the views of Mt Fuji from the Lake Ashi Cruise and from the ropeway. 2. Take a walk around Owakudani, and witness the volcanic activity around the area. 3. Enjoy all-you-can-eat lunch. Buffet menu is prepared with around 70 kinds of dishes: Korean BBQ, deep-fried chicken, kushikatsu skewered meat cutlet with miso, dessert, etc. *As this is a buffet, a variety of meats and seafood will be served.
